Team: Consisted of people from
Pretoria, Durban, Pietermaritzburg, Knysna and Cape Town
Outreach
work done: Optometry,
Children’s ministry, Women’s ministry and Building ministry
Highlights:
Starting
construction on three buildings, two in cities and one in a rural area.
Five
members of the team getting baptized.
The
optometry team and the work they did in reaching over 400 people.
Meeting
the TIMO team.
Seeing
people committing their lives to Christ after the showing of the Jesus film.
Linking
with team 1 members in Pretoria
Special
friends and friends I made
Disappointments:
Attitude
of the border officials – having to deal with corruption and bribery.
Optometry
team being stopped from doing their work by the local authorities
due
to a delay in the arrival of their permission papers from Maputo.
Fasting
(I didn’t feel comfortable with the unorthodox manner in which it was brought
about)
Getting
sick.
Missing
my week 1 friends.
Certain
people insisting on having their way, not considering that outreach depend on a
one-for-all-all-for-one approach.
Having
an accident 38 km’s from the R S A border.
Internal
conflict between leader & team members.
Our
team leader leaving the team stranded on the last day because of personal
differences.
Leaving
my friends in Pretoria 2 come home
What
did I get out of it?
I
met and became friends with wonderful likeminded people.
I
got to spend time with the T I M O team which is part of my
Long
term goals.
Special
thanks to:
The
organizing committee for making me part of the team.
People
of Mozambique for allowing us to work with them.
DDJ
for fetching us in Musina after our accident in Zimbabwe.
DDJ
and family for their hospitality in Pretoria.
EDP
my friend.
Each
team member in their own unique way.
